TKT is run by Cambridge English for teachers of English to speakers of other languages.
It is suitable for all teachers, whatever your background and teaching experience. It is intended for both those who have no teaching experience and for people with some experience but no formal qualification.
It is designed to be of use to teachers of primary, secondary and adult learners.
The test, and our preparation course, are comprised of the following three modules:
Module 1: Language and background to language learning and teaching
Module 2: Planning lessons and use of resources for language teaching
Module 3: Managing the teaching and learning process
The only prerequisite for enrolment on the TKT course is an Intermediate level of English (e.g. PET, IELTS Band 4...).
