Intensive Spanish + Mexican Cookery Course
Mexican cuisine is justifiably famous all over the world. The range of dishes and flavours is quite astonishing and you don't have to be an expert to be able to make some of the most delicious dishes at home. But you will need some help and advice - and that's what we can provide at IH Riviera Maya.
Timetable
The cookery classes take place on 3 afternoons per week (usually Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Students can take 1, 2, 3 or 4 weeks of classes.
The cooking classes themselves start by demonstrating some of the basics of Mexican cooking -- guacamole, fajitas, pico de gallo (tex-mex sauce), quesadillas, molletes, tacos, enchiladas, enfrijoladas, sopes and pambazos -- and then we move on to more specialised dishes such as mole, pozole, pipian, tamales and adobo.
We also teach students how to make a delicious flan de cajeta and other typical Mexican desserts.
All the ingredients are included in the course fee and students can also consume everything that's been produced once the class is over.
Starting dates
Cooking classes start every 2 weeks, on the day following the start dates of the intensive courses (for beginners).
There is, for example, an intensive Spanish course that starts on Monday January 11th. The cooking course therefore starts on Tuesday January 12th.
